THEATRE & DANCE

I received my initial training as a light artist at the theatre. This is also where my interest for lighting and light art originated during the mid 80s. After working as an assistant set designer during a production at a local theatre company in Malmö in 1986, I decided to formally learn the art of light design and engineering.

At the time there were no specific or designated courses to take, the only way to learn the trade was to become an apprentice. I spent 6 months in the stage light department at Malmö Public Theatre and completed my training with a further 18 months in the stage light department at Helsingborg Public Theatre.

Since then I have worked with both drama and dance performances and it is very much a job I love and enjoy. Only at the theatre do so many forms of art and artists come together.
